Remy arrived at the auction looking for a good seat and saved one next to her for Molly. While she waited for Molly and the auction to begin she looked around at all the people and horses around hoping she would fins what she wanted.

Molly walked into the auction and spotted Remy. "Hey! I can't stay for too long- I've got a new boarder coming in sometime today." She noticed Remy looking around. "Anything catching your eye?"

"A new boarder? Awesome" said Remy now gesturing to a cute black and white oldenburg 5 year old she said "That little filly really caught my attention."

"Yeah- Jake Baker is his name." Molly looked at the filly. "Is she going up to auction right now, or do you want to go check her out in her stall? You could make an offer- maybe get her a little cheaper than if she goes up." The filly looked a little skinny and nervous, but that was nothing a few weeks of groceries wouldn't fix. "Besides, just because she's skinny, we might want to make sure she doesn't have other health issues."

"Oh that's good." Said Remy, "Yeah I'd rather look at her in her stall and talk to the owner in person lets go!" They made their way to the stall area and found he fillies owner and Remy started asking some questions, "Hello, May I ask you some questions?" "Fine." said the gruff man. "Okay.. well how old is she? And does she have any health or lameness issues?" The man replied " 4 and not that I know of. You can go in her stall and check her out if you want" Remy did and she found other than being skinny she was in good condition and really sweetie. " Only $1100 if you take her now so I can go home" said the man. "Well I think I will." Remy wrote a check to the man and slipped the halter and lead rope she brought with her on the filly. "Well thank you" said Remy to the man then turned to Molly and asked "Ready to go?"

"Yep, I think so. She's adorable, isn't she?" Molly stroked the mare's nose. "Though she looks like she might have a slight case of rain rot on her back there- shouldn't be too hard to clear up. Why don't I call the local equine vet and have them meet us at the barn?" She was pleased with the young Oldenburg mare- at many auctions she had visited, the filly would've gone for well over $7,000.

"Yeah I saw the rain rot too and her weight but nothing a little TLC can't fix! And I'll call the vet right now. Also, I'll come to the office to see what the new boarders horse needs to be fed." Said Remy as she pulled out her phone to call the vet.
