Kelly walked the well behaved stallion out of his stall on the way to the dressage ring to exercise him. As she walked him through the barn he smelt on of the mares in heat and went crazy. He lifted his lip over his nostrils and lifted his head up high.
"oh no!" said Kelly. Luckily, he had the cavesson on him. He started prancing on the spot and snorting. There was only one thing on his mind, he wanted that mare. He arched his neck and whinnied rearing up and kicking at Kelly. This is the situation when you need a professional with Prince. Kelly was a professional. She took her dressage whip and smacked him as hard as she could and yanked on the cavesson as hard as she could, using her body weight. The cavesson cut into his nose, and he listened. But then he did another loud scream and tried to bite Kelly. "NOOOO" She yelled at the top of her lungs pulling the cavesson as hard as she could again. She smacked him on the butt with her whip and circled him around her. As soon as she had a chance, she tightened the closest lunge rein and then stopped him, he couldn't throw his head in the air. She went to his other side and tightened the other lunge rein. The stallion was now forced to listen put quite angry. He could still smell the mare even though he was a few stalls away. Kelly made him put his head down even more to submit and calm down. This was hard for Prince when he smelled a mare. A few minutes later she walked out of the barn with the stallion calmly at her side and went and lunged him in the dressage ring. Prince didn't need to be lunged in the round pen if he wasn't being REALLY bad because he was well-trained to lunge on a circle in an arena.
