After doing lots of training with her stallion and Freezie, Kelly sat down for some rest and opened a magazine. She went to the end to look at sales, after all, she was looking for a new prospect. There were two that caught her eye:
one was a four and a half year old filly that was doing first level and the other was a five-year-old gelding doing second level. The filly was $30 000 and 16.1hh and the gelding was $23 000 and 16.2 hh. There was only a picture for the gelding. He was a bay hanoverian and had excellent conformation. Kelly wanted pictures of the filly so she took out her blackberry and email the seller for pictures. A few minutes later she had a reply. The filly was a knabstrupper from Denmark! Kelly loved these horses and knew they could succeed in high levels of dressage. The filly was white with black spots and almost an entirely black face. Kelly really liked both the horses so she called up the sellers and set up an appointment to see them in thirty minutes. It turned out that they were at the same stable. Kelly left and drove to the stable.

Kelly was in the lounge again making coffee, she practically lived at the stable. She decided she would go help with evening feed and much her stallion's stall. Just then, Sara Wright walked in.
"Hey Kelly!" she said
"Hey" replied Kelly "are you here to visit Freezie?"
"Ya, and to talk to you."
"Okay, what do you need to talk about?"
"I can only have lessons once a week"
"Okay, what time?"
"Wednesday at 7:00 would work best"
"Sounds good to me! so I'll see you tomorrow for the assessment".
"Okay, and one more thing. Can I organize lessons during the week that aren't the same day every week?
"Yes, just text me or call me and I'll tell you if I'm free. I practically live here."
" I'll go see Freezie. How was he?"
"weeellll, he was good...at the end"
"hu oh! what happened?"
"he had a few fits and was fighting quite a bit but then he listened to me after a session in the round pen"
"that's good"
"it sure is, He completely submitted to me so he'll be good".
"that's good"
"Are you going to go see Freezie?"
"no, I just came to talk to you"
"okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Be here at 7:00. The assessment is 2 hours. It assesses horsemanship skills, horse care and riding ability. The assessment is $75."
"Okay" replied Sara "see ya tomorrow". She walked out the door and Kelly went into the barn.

It was 6:25 and Kelly was in the lounge waiting for Sara to give her her rider assessment. She was reading a horse magazine and drinking coffee when Sara walked in.
"Are you ready?" asked kelly
"Yep" said Sara. She was wearing beige breeches and a light blue polo shirt and had Spanish cut riding boots on.
"You are going to ride Red today, I've already assessed your horsemanship so it will be on horse care and riding"
