Remy was walking Push out to the cross country course letting Push extend and get ready to jump. Push was eager to go and explore the new place. Remy and Push picked up the trot as they reached the course. Looking around Remy realized she was the first to get there so she looked around at all the jumps and let Push get acquainted with them while she waited for Molly

Rachelle had warmed up a bit at the barn and decided to run Crimson out to the course. He was flagging and bugleing the whole way out, just enjoying himself a wee too much. Rachelle then saw Remy wandering around the big log jumps and brought Crimson down to a walk nearly instantly. Rachelle then walked to the center of the course and waited for everyone else to get there while Crimson impatiently troted in place until he settled and let out a proud bugle.

Molly had Penny trot the way to the course- long ago she had learned against cantering there. With her beautiful mare, the more you worked, the more excited she got, so steady, simple working was best until you needed her to honestly move out more. When she arrived on the course, she saw Rachelle and Remy there already. Trotting over to the center, she called out, "Hey Rachelle, hey Remy!" Crimson, Rachelle's Thoroughbred, looked a bit hyper and slightly wired, as Thoroughbreds always did, and Pusher, Remy's Warmblood, looked serious and regal, like he thought much of himself.
ooc: [out of character] What the heck is bugleing/flagging? I've heard you use it before, but I don't get what you mean.

"Hello Rachelle! Hello Molly!" Said Remy sitting on Pusher who was thinking to highly of himself already and with the mare come was about the become worse and start showing of. He noticed the mare right away and started snorting happily. "Oh be quiet you." said Remy.
ooc: Flagging is holding their tail up and bugleing I assume is like neighing but I'm not sure about that one.

"Hey there!" Said Rachelle as Crimson finally stayed in one position for more than two seconds. "Hmm he must be getting tired...perfect for a cross country day" she softly said to herself.
Occ: Bugling is a really high pitched snort. Which sounds like a neigh but it isn't. Honor does it all the time when I lunge him. Its like a sign their enjoying themselves! Same with flagging, as a sign their fired up..for trotters that is.

Remy heard Rachelle's quiet comment and didn't know if it was to anyone or herself so she awkwardly agree saying "Oh yeah very nice.. Any one want to go first?"

occ: oooohhhh. okay. you with your fancy-shcmancy terms. Molly smiled at the geldings, who clearly were recalling when they weren't. Penny, on the other hand, seemed more interested in the jumps behinds the boys than the boys themselves. "Should we start off with the lower jumps, and then work our way up to the higher ones? Penny's already jumped today, so I don't want to over-do it." She looked up the sky, realizing that it was getting later. "Maybe we'll ride for an hour, then we can go in and get a start on evening chores?" she offered up. "After all, it's there first night in, and we want them to be able to settle down. They'll stay out tonight, I think. It's nice enough..." Realizing she was babbling, she stopped for a moment to let Remy offer her opinions.

Remy was just smiling and nodding as Molly spoke then said "Yeah I think that's a great idea I don't want to overwhelm push on our first day here." She said as Push started to prance and over curl his neck and snot trying to get more attention. "Well I suppose you can go first Molly because your most familiar with the course and can show the way!" Said Remy.

Molly nodded and drew up her reins. She urged Penny forward, towards the first jump- a simple log one. Penny tried to gallop towards it, and as fun as it felt, a broken neck just wasn't worth it. So she eased the mare back into an extended canter and up and over they went. Since they both were excited, Penny had cleared it easily, unlike days where the mare would simply hop over the jump, barely missing it. Molly let Penny gallop for a bit, then made her trot a circle so they could watch Rachelle and Remy.

Remy began with an excited Push, more excited about following the mare most likely, he went into a strong extended canter and he jump missing it by more then half a foot with easy and excited to do more Push and Remy went into a gallop but saw Molly and slowed down, unsure why she stop Remy asked "Is everything okay?" In a nervous voice.

"Yep! Just wanted to check you guys out. You know, I don't know either of you very well, you just kind of came out of nowhere...so I'm trying to get to know you and your horses. I'm guessing, for instance, that your boy here was gelded a little late." She smiled, trying her hardest to be friendly.

"Oh! I was worried for a second! Yeah I assume it must be hard for you having to hire people you don't know very well. And unfortunately yes I only bought him when he was six someone was giving him almost for nothing because he had just been used to bred and got a little out of hand. So I bought, gelded, broke and trained him and he has calmed down a ton though most people don't realize it..." Realizing she was rambling she quickly said "Oh I'm sorry I'm rambling, tell me about your mare."

"Which one?" she joked. "Penny here was imported five years ago from France- she's a Selle Francais- and was at the eventing barn I bought her from for four. They didn't treat her terribly, but not very nicely either. She's super cinchy- just starting to get over it- and had awful ground manners. She also was terrified of crossing water- not water jumps, but say I took her on a quick trail ride and asked her to cross a stream? Never. I suspect they beat her every time she saw water so she would jump it. That's really what we're working on now. Other than that, she's wonderful. Could make a career out of showing her and then breeding her, but it's a bit late for her to start breeding. Anyway, we're hopefully going to a three-day eventing show sometime next spring, but we'll see." Molly looked over at Remy. "You ever think about buying another horse?"

"How many do you have?" Remy laughed "Ahh you hear that all to often with big show barn. But she seems like a sweety. How old is she and I'm sure she would have pretty babies! Actually I have been looking for a nice filly and I've want an Oldenburg for a while and I'm partial to black and whites... If you can't tell." Remy laughed gesturing to Pusher. "Sorry I sound really picky don't I?"

"Just two. I play by the rules, promise. And yeah, it's a shame, but she's still got a fantastic personality. She's eleven though, so I'm hesistant about breeding her as a maiden. You know? Anyway, that's wonderful! And of course not. Everyone has their color. I love my mares though...you'll never stick me on a gelding again. Though, with your boy..." she smiled playfully. Admittedly, she found most geldings to have little personality and heart- she'd rather ride a boy that still had his boys, or a mare.
